Millions of Americans are not smiling because they do not have awareness of dental care and prevention, the financial wealth to pay for treatment, access to care facilities or they have cultural and language barriers.
As health care professionals, we have the knowledge and ability to help those in our communities. Some would argue that we have an obligation to play an integral role in educating the public about their oral health.
